WINDSOR, UK—Commercial and industrial property insurer FM Global has been named European Business Insurer of the Year, for the second year in succession, following an independent survey of European risk managers from leading companies in 12 countries. The award recognises FM Global for its “effectiveness…in assisting better risk management practice within European companies” and was based on risk managers’ ratings of the quality of products and services they receive from their commercial insurance providers. The award was presented at the European Risk Management Awards hosted by Strategic Risk (Europe’s leading risk management publication) on 29 April 2005.

Last year the company was also awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, in the UK, in recognition of its growth across Europe and the strength of its client relationships.
